Description
Dublin City Council gives notice to invoke Article 32.2 (b) for a derogation from tendering where the works can be provided only by a particular economic operator. Dublin City Council intend to award a contract to AMV Systems Limited for the 1 year defects maintenance period at a value of €93,000 excl. VAT. Aircon Mech Limited part of the Aircon Group carried out the mechanical installation at the new North City Operations Depot during the construction works. The Depot was handed over to Dublin City Council on 20 June 2023. Dublin City Council have been advised by their consultants that it is normal industry practice for new builds such as the Depot that all the Contractors who installed systems are retained to carry out the required preventative maintenance during the 1 year Defects Warranty period which follows handover, so no warranties are invalidated. As per this advice it is proposed that AMV Systems Limited are retained to carry out the planned preventative maintenance of the mechanical installation at the depot. for the 1 year defects maintenance period. AMV Systems Limited is a separate maintenance company within the Aircon Group.
