Ekerö kommun avser att upphandla samordnare för exploatörsdrivna detaljplaner åt planeringsenheten. Bakgrund Ekerö kommun är en kommun i Stockholms län, som består av etthundrafyrtio (140) öar och kobbar. Bland kommunens rika kulturmiljö finns bland annat världsarven Birka/Hovgården och Drottningholm. Kommunen befinner sig en expansiv fas med tillväxt och inflyttning. Under de kommande åren kommer en utvecklad infrastruktur att ge nya möjligheter, med byggandet av Förbifart Stockholm och breddningen av Ekerövägen/väg 261, som förändrar Ekerö kommuns roll i det regionala sammanhanget. Omvandlingen innebär att kommunen inom en inte allt för avlägsen framtid går från att vara en utpräglad landsortskommun till vår vision av småstad med en levande landsbygd. Denna omvandling skall ske på ett sådant sätt att varken natur-, kultur-, miljövärden eller framtida utveckling äventyras. Ekerö kommun eftersträvar en robust samhällsutveckling som kännetecknas av attraktiva livsmiljöer. Planeringsenheten har sedan 2020 arbetat enligt en modell för exploatörsdrivna detaljplaneprocesser.
