Description
The NGS genomics laboratory is planning to replace its high output sequencing instrument. The Illumina Novaseq X plus is a unique instrument and currently the only instrument on the market which meets all the specific and necessary technical requirements specified below to fulfill the uncompromising needs of the acquiring unit. The specific requirements for the new instrument are: • Capacity and throughput of at least 16 Tb in about 2 days. • Read length of at least 2x150bp. • Multiplexing of tens to thousands of samples from different applications in one run. • Availability of flow cells with different capacity, which allows running e.g. few to dozens human genomes in a single run. • Possibility to run multiple applications simultaneously in a flow cell. • Capacity of up to 50 billion reads per run • On-instrument data processing to FASTQ and ability to do primary analysis of data (mapping to genome). • On instrument data processing for multiple application types from same sequencing run. • Runs on the instrument can be fully automated to include clustering, sequencing and secondary analysis. • Small instrument footprint in laboratory premises (WxDxH 90 cm x 95 cm x 170 cm). • Re…
