Description
Hankinnan kohteena oleva työ ja siihen liittyvät kokeet koskevat ALICE3 Outer Tracker (CERN) -detektorimoduulien valmistusprosessin tutkimus- ja kehitysvaihetta, jossa selvitetään mahdollisuutta toteuttaa flip-chip -bondaus menetelmällä poikkeuksellisen ohuilla komponenteilla ja matalissa lämpötiloissa. Hankittava työ ei ole teollista tuotantoa, vaan se on puhtaasti tutkimus- ja kehitystyötä, jonka tuloksena syntyy ainoastaan yksittäisiä testikappaleita ja prototyyppejä teknisen suunnitelman (TDR) tueksi.
