Description
Cefas have a requirement for a QuantStudio 5 real time PCR system for detection and quantification of DNA. Cefas currently use the QuantStudio 3 system and platform, with specific UKAS accredited methods used, and to ensure that results do not vary and adversely affect both statutory, and research and development delivery, the QuantStudio 5 system is required to ensure continued compliance and compatibility. Scope of Requirements: 1. Technical Requirement Cefas require one QuantStudio 5 real time PCR machine with the following specification: • 96-well thermal block, with block zones to test a minimum of 6 temperatures and 6 decoupled filters with up to 21 combinations for 96-well system • Excitation and detection range of 450-680 nm and 500-730 nm • Onboard memory of more than 9 GB • Communication interface by cloud based connect, USB, or Wi-Fi • Compatible with the currently used QuantStudio 3 system, to ensure Cefas' statutory and research & development delivery are not adversely affected 2.
