Description
The Department of Rural and Community Development (DRCD) was established in July 2017 to provide a renewed and consolidated focus on rural and community development in Ireland. The Department’s Mission is to promote rural and community development and to support vibrant, inclusive and sustainable communities throughout Ireland. Trading for impact the recently published National Social Enterprise Policy commits the DRCD to commission a partner organisation to deliver some of the actions contained in the policy, and to engage with social enterprise stakeholders to achieve shared ownership and operational delivery of the policy.
