Description
The objective of this Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice is to inform the marketplace of HSE West & North West’s intention to enter into a contract for the provision of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans for Galway University Hospital (GUH) to support specialised cardiology diagnostics in Galway City. GUH currently does not possess the MRI1 capacity or clinical resources required to deliver Cardiac MRI services on site. As a result, there is a requirement to secure access to a suitably qualified ex-ternal provider located within close proximity to Galway City to ensure timely, efficient, and patient-centred service delivery. Cardiac MRI is widely recognised as the non-invasive imaging modality for the comprehensive assessment of cardiac structure, function, tissue characterisation, myocardial viability, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, inflammatory cardiac conditions, and complex cardiovascular disorders.
