Description

HSE Procurement intends to purchase approximately 15 AI systems for Endoscopy nationally from Medtronic Ireland Ltd. For clinical reasons Endoscopy require: 1. Real-time detection (CADe) of colorectal lesions regardless of size, morphology or location 2. Real-time characterization (CADx) with clear differentiation between adenomatous and non-adenomatous lesions 3. On-screen real-time visual output usable during live procedures 4. Caecum landmark recognition 5. Bowel Preparation Score for each colonoscopy procedure 6. Validated and Precise Polyp Sizing that measures polyps on a 0-10mm scale and complimented by a > 10mm indicator. Detection alone is insufficient to drive workflow efficiency and optimize patient pathways & outcomes Characterization with accurate sizing supports: a. Clinical decision-making b. Reduction in unnecessary polypectomy c. Productivity and cost efficiency. HSE Procurement is satisfied that Medtronic is capable of fulfilling these justified requirements and that the Medtronic GI Genius AI system is compatible with all Fuji, Olympus (legacy and current generation systems) and Pentax stack systems.
