Description
Veitur has selected to procure an Outage Management System (OMS) from its current supplier for Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). This is compliant with article 50(e) of the Utilities Directive. The OMS and ADMS, being from the same product portfolio, means: 1) This is an extension of the ADMS, avoiding disproportionate technical difficulties and incompatibility risks a. Reduced complexity and challenges compared to integrating two third party products b. Out of the box compatibility and seamless user experience and functionality 2) Reduced complexity and challenges in operation and maintenance The consequence of the above, means that the total cost (i.e. implement, operate and maintain) for the OMS as an extension, is at a significant cost advantage which a third party system would not be able to compete with, and an unlikeliness of a third party system costs, to satisfy the business case.
