Ces espaces publics, situés sur le périmètre du Quai Wilson et du boulevard Gustave Roch, font partie des espaces publics majeurs de l'Ile de Nantes. Ils représentent l'une des dernières continuités piétonnes à aménager pour finaliser le Tour de l'Ile de Nantes.
