Gunnarsbyns räddningstjänst är helt utan fordon med vattentank eftersom deras förstördes vid brand av räddningsstation. Det är samhällskritiskt då kommunen ska inneha den beredskap som krävs om brand bryter ut i området. Därför är det viktigt att införskaffa en och ha i drift innan gräs- och skogsbrands säsong startar. Med denna bakgrund används därför påskyndat förfarande enligt LOU.
