Description
”Kuusamon pelastusasema uudisrakennus”-hankkeessa toteutetaan terveelliset, toimivat ja turvalliset tilat Kuusamon pelastustoimelle ja ensihoidolle. Kuusamon kaupungin omistama nykyinen paloasema on valmistunut vuonna 1982 ja se sijaitsee kaupungin keskustassa. Kuusamon kaupunki ja pelastustoimi yhdessä ensihoidon kanssa ovat selvittäneet vuosien 2019-2021 aikana nykyisen paloasemakiinteistön kuntoa, sen peruskorjaustarpeita kustannuksineen sekä mahdollisen uudisrakennuksenvaihtoehtoisia tilasijoittumispaikkoja (mm. Kitkantien varsi, ns. rajan alue). Tarkastelun perusteella uudisrakennuksen toteuttamista pidettiin parempana vaihtoehtona nykyisen paloaseman peruskorjaamiseen verrattuna.
