Description
SMHI genomför en upphandling av grön el till SMHIs samtliga mätstationer, samt till myndighetens kontor i Uppsala och Göteborg. SMHI har idag ett avtal för mätstationerna (se bifogad förteckning i Excel) med Bodens Energi. Denna upphandling avser att försäkra SMHI om att elleveranserna till samtliga av våra cirka 275 mätstationer, samt till SMHIs kontor i Uppsala och i Göteborg, består av miljövänligt alternativ, nedan kallat "Grön el". SMHIs definition av Grön el är: ”El som är producerad från förnybara, icke-fossila energikällor, nämligen vindenergi, solenergi, aerotermisk energi (luftvärme), geotermisk energi, hydrotermisk energi (vattenvärme) och havsenergi, vattenkraft, biomassa, deponigas, gas från avloppsreningsverk samt biogas”. Biomassa definieras som ”den biologiskt nedbrytbara fraktionen av produkter, avfall och rester från jordbruk (både vegetabiliska och animaliska ämnen), skogsbruk och närstående industrier inklusive fiske och vattenbruk samt den biologiskt nedbrytbara fraktionen av industriavfall och kommunalt avfall”.
