Description
The aim of the project is to deliver 5 additional temporary modular homes.\r \r There is a need to procure a supplier to manufacture and deliver 5 self-contained, modular units at The Bus Shelter site, Mount Pleasant Park and Ride, in Weymouth. \r \r Following a successful bid for Single Homeless Accommodation Programme (SHAP) funding Dorset Council was awarded funding to deliver 5 modular units and to qualify for the funding the units need to be ready for occupation by 21st March 2025. The total value of this contract is £450,000.\r \r Further to this funding application there were discussions about the project with colleagues in Dorset Council from Assets & Property and Commercial & Procurement, and it was determined that the bid had been based on prices for Supply of the Specialist Modular Builds (as opposed to Works), and the funding for this would exceed the Public Contract Regulations 2015 threshold.\r \r Funding is high profile and is subject to monthly meetings with advisors from Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).
