The aims and objectives for the Rural Growth Deal – Kintyre Seasports – Demolition of Existing Sailing Club and Construction of New Facility are to: - Demolish the existing sailing club building and deliver a modern, fit for purpose seasports facility that meets current standards and demand. - Provide a high-quality, accessible and inclusive hub for watersports, training, education, and community use. - Enhance participation in water-based activities for local residents, schools, and visitors, supporting health, wellbeing, and social inclusion. - Support sustainable economic growth by strengthening Campbeltown’s marine tourism offer and increasing visitor numbers. - Create opportunities for employment, vocational training, and skills development within the maritime sector. - Deliver a high-quality waterfront development that contributes to placemaking and wider town centre regeneration objectives. - Incorporate sustainable and low-carbon design principles in line with net zero targets and best practice environmental standards.
