Description
Burnley Borough Council is seeking the services of a suitability qualified landscape architect to develop concept plans/designs for public spaces identified within Burnley's Civic Core where there is opportunity to implement landscaping and environmental enhancements. The Consultant will be expected to undertake the following tasks: • To undertake research into Burnley's culture and heritage to help inform designs. • Consult with key stakeholders/partner organisations through workshops. Key partners will include Burnley Borough Council, Lancashire County Council, Burnley Business Improvement District, Burnley Civic Trust, Burnley Central Library, Central Methodist Church, Burnley Cultural Consortia, Burnley Leisure & Culture and Burnley College. • Develop concept designs up to RIBA Stage 3 along with a written narrative/methodology to support proposals for the two areas that have been identified within the Civic Core, 1) Peace Garden, located at Burnley Central Library, and 2) area to the front of Burnley Central Methodist Church (see Appendix 1). • To provide outline/estimate costings to implement the proposals. • To identify further opportunities where environmental enhance…
