Description
Burnley Council required the services of a monitoring surveyor to deliver a restoration project for a Grade II listed building 18 - 24 Nicholas Street to provide 18 high quality affordable homes. The full scheme is currently at Planning stages and can be viewed at LBC/2024/0389. Internal and external alterations to convert former offices to apartments (Linked with FUL/2024/0353), including alteration to internal layout, installation of replacement windows and demolition of modern rear extensions. | 18-20 Nicholas Street Burnley Lancashire BB11 2AP The scheme will be delivered by Barnfield Investment Properties Ltd. Barnfield Investment Properties Ltd will employ the design team and a contract administrator. Barnfield Construction will be the main contractor. The contract will be in the form of a JCT DB 2016. The Council requires the services of a chartered cost consultant to act as a monitoring surveyor. Primarily to ensure that any of the design proposals are affordable and beyond that to ensure the Contractor 's costs are reasonable and not excessive.
