Description
The Contract will enable Westmorland & Furness Council to continue to meet its regulatory requirements in relation to the servicing and repair of lifts and hoists as specified in the Lifting Operations and Lowering Equipment Regulations (LOLER 1998) and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER 1998). The Contract will also provide Westmorland and Furness Council with a means of installing new and resited Ceiling Track Hoists, and a consistent way of removing these when no longer required. The Contractor must comply with the requirements of all current editions of regulatory and statutory Acts and Frameworks that cover the Services undertaken including but not limited to those set out below: • British Standard BS.81-40 Stairlifts and inclined platforms intended for persons with impaired mobility • ISO.9386-2 Power operated lifting platforms for persons with impaired mobility • British Standard BS.5900 Powered domestic lifts • British Standard EN81- (all relevant parts) Safety rules for the construction and installations of lifts • I.E.E.
