Description
The Royal Academy of Engineering brings together a community of leaders from every part of engineering and technology through our Fellowship and awardee community in academia and industry; and through our regional, national and equitable global partnerships. We are the UK's National Academy promoting engineers and engineering through our work in policy, education, enterprise and as global funders of research and innovation (R&I). As funders of research and together with our partners for this study, the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC), it is our responsibility to support and build an inclusive R&I ecosystem. Good engineering should always involve inclusive inputs (diversity and representation) and inclusive outputs (technology, products and services accessible for all) but engineers must also consider whether their choices lead to inclusive engineering outcomes, considering how the technology will impact people and the planet from end-to-end (R&D, supply chain, use, and end of life).
