Description
Essex Country Council is seeking to engage with training providers to gather insights and suggestions for developing a comprehensive training and guidance package to equip those with budget responsibility at all levels with the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions when making or authorising purchases, planning and spending budget. The training will aim to highlight: Understanding of statutory responsibilities for ECC relating to environment & carbon agendas. Current and upcoming legislation and policies in a digestible way relevant to each service area. Green book guidance on climate & environment issues. Risks and Opportunities attached to sustainability, carbon management and climate resilience. How commissioning for carbon management, and understanding climate risks, enables informed decision-making on best value long term investment and service design.
