Demolition of Siege Tower at Portsmouth International Port - 2024 - AWARD

Description

Portsmouth City Council ('the council') is inviting tenders from suitably qualified demolition contractors to demolish the Siege Tower at Portsmouth International Port (PiP). The Siege Tower passenger boarding bridge structure is a steel frame structure with cladding and window spans along the gangways, situated between Berth 3 and 4. It is required to be demolished to maximise the berth's footprint in readiness for the Shore Power equipment installation and new passenger boarding bridge. Works will take place within a live operational port environment. It is anticipated that on-site works will take 6-8 weeks to complete. The value of the contract for the Demolition Works is estimated at ?150,000 - ?300,000 based upon the current specification. The form of contract used will be Infrastructure Conditions of Contract (ICC) Minor Works Contract 2011 The procurement process is being run in accordance with the quotation process as set out within the Council's Contract Procedure Rules.
