Description
Warwickshire County Council (the Council) is seeking a single provider to deliver a countywide dementia day opportunities service. The provider must be able to demonstrate and evidence to the Council's satisfaction that they are already providing dementia day opportunities in a group setting of a similar size, level of activity and value to this tender opportunity. A Dementia Day Opportunity is defined as a scheduled session of specified duration that is delivered in a dementia friendly building. Sessions are managed by providers and are designed to support a specified number of individuals diagnosed with dementia. Sessions offer individuals living with dementia an opportunity to socialise, engage in meaningful activities, and be supported by trained staff. Day opportunities encourage community inclusion through organised trips and having members of the community visit the centre.
