Description
Central Bedfordshire Council ('the Council') is a Borough Council with unitary responsibilities covering housing, highways, planning, education, and social care in Bedfordshire. It owns and manages over 5,200 homes for social housing and covers an area of more than 276 square miles. As both a landowner and land manager, the Council has a duty of care to its employees, neighbours, visitors, and the general public at large, to do all that it reasonably can under the Occupiers' Liability Acts 1957 and 1984, to prevent harm and damage occurring to people and property in a consequence of accident or incident relating to our stock. In recognition of this duty of care, the Council requires a contractor ('the Contractor') to carry out ground's maintenance works at selected Housing managed sites across the Central Bedfordshire district. The desired outcome will be to provide a clean, tidy and well-maintained communal outdoor space for residents to enjoy. All works, including preliminary works, are to be carried out within budget.
