Description
You are invited to attend a virtual market engagement for the Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad (CVLP). Overview The CVLP is a strategic priority and collaboration between NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), the Office for Life Sciences (OLS), the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and Genomics England (GEL), with the aim to facilitate access to personalised cancer vaccine research trials. The project was jointly announced in July 2023 with the Secretary of State and in partnership with the Prime Minister. See link (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/major-agreement-to-deliver-new-cancer-vaccine-trials#:~:text=It%20will%20work%20by%20creating,become%20part%20of%20standard%20care) Through the CVLP platform, cancer patients from across a network of up to 140 NHS cancer care providers will be asked to consent to be put forward for clinical trials. Their surplus tissue samples, obtained through standard of care pathways, will be used to assess their eligibility.
