Award Notice - Name: Breakspear School Contract type - JCT Minor Works (As Amended) Project Address: Bushey Road Ickenham, Uxbridge UB10 8JA Following the production and resulting information of fire risk assessment It is recommended to replace fire doors located in corridor spaces or within the main building, as well as fire doors leading to particularly vulnerable spaces. The doors show varying levels of safety features, with many doors having been retrofitted after installation to provide some safety measures. Doors should be replaced to a recognised industry standard to ensure the ability to demonstrate technical compliance. Fire stopping to areas where services breach fire compartments in corridor areas is to be improved by using approved fire rated materials in accordance with BS EN 1366-3. Various services pass through fire compartments with unknown levels of fire protection. Where identified in the fire risk assessment, it is recommended to improve service penetrations where possible, or remove internal ventilation bricks where redundant.
