Description

The London Borough of Hillingdon ('the Council') has commenced a review of the Local Plan. The Council is seeking to undertake Transport Modelling and an Impact Assessment to support development of the Local Plan. The primary purpose of the Transport Modelling and Impact Assessment ('Strategic Transport Assessment') is to form part of the evidence base for the Local Plan, necessary for developing an appropriate spatial strategy and policies. The Council is proposing to update and replace the Local Plan. The strategic and development management policies will be combined into a single document alongside the site allocations. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate how the transport network is likely to operate in response to the changes in travel behaviour arising from development, including allocated sites, under the proposed Local Plan. The Strategic Transport Assessment will include transport modelling to assess the effects of the development planned under the Local Plan on the local and strategic highways network in the borough, as well as public transport and active travel up to the end of the proposed plan period.
