Description

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), as the contracting authority for Greater Manchester Police, seeks to appoint a provider to deliver a Bail Management Application. The recording of detainees released on pre-charge bail by the police is mandated through legislation. It is a requirement to be able to monitor and track what is happening to a suspect when released on police bail and all detainees bail information must be captured and recorded correctly. The Bail Management Unit monitor when a detainee's bail is due to expire, and manually send an email to the Officer in Charge (OIC) notifying them that they have 2 weeks before the bail lapses, when extensions are needed and providing confirmation of a regular risk assessment for both the victim and suspect. GMP are looking to purchase a solution that can monitor this instead. GMP record and track approximately 10,000 bail records per year, the solution must have capacity to handle this.
