This EU prior information notice is not a procurement notice or an invitation to tender, but rather a market survey and a request for information (hereinafter "RFI"). The publication of the prior information notice does not initiate a bidding competition. A procurement notice and an invitation to tender may be published later. The publication of the RFI does not obligate the contracting entity to carry out the actual procurement. Responding to the RFI is not a requirement for participation in any potential future bidding competition. As part of the RescEU project, the National Emergency Supply Agency (hereinafter "NESA") is preparing the procurement of food monitors (one type of monitor) that are used to determine the radioactivity of samples taken from food contaminated in the target area after a nuclear/radiation accident. Estimated amount: 50 instruments.
