Description
Service contract for the technical support of the expansion of the national waterway management systems (WAMS) and the transnational waterway monitoring system (WAMOS 2.0), including the pilot evaluation of these software applications: The national Waterway Management Systems (WAMS) support the waterway administrations of Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania in the economically and ecologically optimal use of waterways. The transnational Waterway Monitoring System (WAMOS) collects and processes hydrological and hydrographic data of the waterways of selected Danube riparian states (Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania) in a web-based system. The system was developed as part of FAIRway Danube (http://www.fairwaydanube.eu/) from 2017 and has been in operation since fall 2019. The system is based on the open source software gemma and is operated in a data center in Germany.
