Description
The University of Iceland intends to purchase an ultra performance liquid chromatography/gas chromatography triple quadrupole MS system for low concentration absolute quantification of proteins and fatty acids. The instrument shall be an ultra performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography coupled to a triple quadrupole mass spectrometry system, with the possibility to seamlessly switch between UPLC to GC. A Xevo TQ-XS mass spectrometer is already installed at the University of Iceland along with existing methodology, the new UPLC MS system must be compatible with developed and existing chromatography and ionization methods that are based upon use of an IonKey Ion Source, where already existing hardware will be used. The system must therefore be compatible with an Acquity UPLC M-Class w/ IonKey Ion source from a software as well as hardware perspective. Associated software for quantification of proteins and free fatty acid analysis, delivery, installation, and a 1 year service contract and training must be included.
