Ramavtalet omfattar Stödboende för barn och unga i åldern 16 till och med 20 år enlig socialtjänstlagen 6 kap 1§ 3p. "Stödboende är ett mer självständigt boende och kan vara aktuellt för barn och unga som inte har behov av sådana vård- och behandlingsinsatser som motiverar en placering i HVB."Stödboende 16-20 år | SKR Stödboende innebär ett individuellt boende där Ungdomen får ett anpassat stöd utifrån individuella behov för ett självständigt boende och vuxenliv. Insatsen syfte är att träna Ungdomen till ett självständigt liv. Det huvudsakliga syftet är att, under trygga former, träna i att ta eget ansvar, att ha ett eget boende och förbereda Ungdomen för att självständigt boende och vuxenliv. Verksamheten ska bedrivas med ett professionellt förhållningssätt där Ungdomen ges möjlighet till inflytande över och delaktighet i de insatser som ges. Insatserna ska ges i enlighet med vetenskap och beprövad erfarenhet och leda till att Ungdomen kan utveckla sina personliga resurser och mognad. Stödboende kan både vara ett fristående placeringsalternativ eller fungera som utslussning efter annan vård utanför det egna hemmet, till exempel familjehem eller HVB.
