+++ Deutsche Version unten anbei +++ The research project “Side-channel attacks with quantum sensing” (SCA-QS) aims to identify potential new attack vectors on microchips using quantum sensors. Quantum sensors (QS) have the potential of measuring physical parameters with higher resolution, sensitivity or otherwise better. Therefore, the suitability of different physical quantum sensor approaches for side channel attacks (SCA) on microchips will be evaluated, and compared to an analysis of the same chips with current SCA methods. The project will initially focus on identifying and researching the fundamental suitability of quantum sensors for side-channel attacks, and subsequently develop promising approaches. The targeted technology readiness level at the end of the project is 3 to 4, depending on the technology. On 10 June 2024, at 3:00 pm (CEST), the Cyberagentur will hold a virtual information and partnering event, which aims to introduce the research project, to provide information about the organizational aspects of the tender process, as well as bringing together experts from the fields of quantum sensing and side-channel attacks, also in view of the potential formation of c…
