Internal identifier PIN /23239: Title (English)Residential nursing care services: Directive 2014/24/EU – art. 74. Light touch regime. According to act no. 112/2008, article 39, Icelandic Health Insurance is responsible for negotiating service contracts with nursing home service providers. Icelandic Health Insurance (Sjúkratryggingar Íslands) seeks to make contracts with legal entities for long-term and short term nursing home services. The Icelandic government has secured facilities where they intend to offer long-term and/or short-term nursing home services. A restricted tender procedure will be conducted, whereby only those economic operators who have expressed their interest and who meet the stipulated qualification criteria and legal requirements shall be invited to participate. Detailed information regarding the procurement procedure will be set out in the tender documents.
