L'appareil à acheter devra être placé dans le bâtiment LNK (Laboratoire d'étalonnage nucléaire du SCK CEN). Les spécifications ont été conçues de manière à pouvoir proposer un appareil neuf ainsi qu'un appareil d'occasion (en tant que variante autorisée). En effet, un appareil d'occasion peut également fournir la solution souhaitée, moyennant un prix d'achat plus compétitif. L'appareil sera utilisé pour - l'étalonnage des chambres d'ionisation de radiothérapie - L'imagerie en mégavolts (MV) des fûts de déchets radioactifs - La recherche et le développement dans les domaines de la dosimétrie, du biomédical et des déchets radioactifs.
