Description

The DHLGH is currently seeking to procure the services of a suitably qualified and experienced forester(s) to provide advice and support to the Waters of LIFE project team; providing the project with the opportunity to investigate and trial appropriate management interventions and strategies in existing plantation forests (both public and private) for the protection and/or restoration of Blue Dot water bodies. A separate element of this task is to investigate feasible options for the potential restructuring of existing plantation forests in parts of the catchments where there is an increased likelihood of adverse impacts from historical forestry practices (e.g., bog restoration initiatives).
