Description
The contract concerns the project Next-intl, which covers security hardening of next-intl, a widely used open-source library for building multilingual applications with Next.js., using an iterative approach while ensuring sustainable maintenance for the future in the process. Across fourteen work packages, the services include assesing and addressing security risks; developing and validating modern build, testing, and benchmarking infrastructure; adapting the library to new Next.js features and JavaScript standards; developing automated translation workflows; and preparing and testing a new major version. The contract also covers technical refactoring, systematic improvements for the documentation infrastructure and maintainer governance. Its aim is to strengthen the security, functionality, and long-term sustainability of a component that enables hundreds of thousands of web services to reach people in their own languages.
