Description
The Commission has announced making a study on the production and use of advanced materials (Communication on Advanced Materials for Industrial Leadership, COM(2024) 98 final). The study will perform an in-depth analysis of production and use of advanced materials in the EU, in comparison with the US, UK, China, South Korea and Japan. In particular, it will identify, categorize, and measure the development and adoption of these materials across different sectors within Europe, providing a comprehensive overview of the region's position in the global advanced materials landscape.
