Description
This autumn we have had a cooperation with Asplan Viak for assistance with the development of an energy planning tool. Asplan Viak's contract ends in December, and we have ready a prototype for the energy planning work, which we will further develop ourselves. A feature of the tool, which Asplan Viak has developed itself over several years, requires us to procure the licence for whether we want to include this feature in our further development of the tool. This function connects cadastral data with a data set that produces estimates for energy consumption per building. This function is called the "energy engine". Asplan Viak has submitted an offer whereby we can buy the licence for the "energy engine" for a one-time amount. As we shall build our energy planning tool on Asplan Viak ́s starting point, there are no other suppliers who can offer this energy engine. Generally there are no other actors who have developed this type of energy planning tool for municipalities (who also procured the original assistance agreement with Asplan Viak shows – here we only got one qualified tender.)
