De opdracht heeft betrekking op diverse vormen van strategische en onafhankelijke ICT-adviesverlening, waaronder ongelimiteerde toegang tot standaard onderzoeksrapporten (incl. toolkits, sjablonen, controlelijsten,…) voor de C-functie en één stafmedewerker, sourcingstrategieën voor clouddiensten en software, met inbegrip van benchmarking en best practices, deelname aan netwerkevents (informatie en netwerking) en onbeperkte toegang tot analisten voor de C-functie en één stafmedewerker met bijhorende onafhankelijke, strategische adviesverlening op maat. De inzet van onafhankelijke strategische ICT-adviesverlening is wenselijk en in toenemende mate noodzakelijk voor een moderne ICT-uitbating en -evolutie binnen een grote en complexe organisatie zoals de UGent. De ICT-omgeving wordt gekenmerkt door een hoge mate van technologische verandering (onder meer cloudtransities, digitalisering van kernprocessen, cybersecurity-uitdagingen en evoluerende software-ecosystemen), een toenemende afhankelijkheid van externe leveranciers en een groeiende nood aan onderbouwde, toekomstgerichte strategische keuzes.
