Description

BATTES - Battery Abuse Testing for Thermal and Emission Study JRC needs to procure and test different types of batteries. For lot 1, JRC looks to procure and acquire different types of batteries in different sizes (modules and packs). For lot 2, JRC looks to procure to properly instrument and test the batteries from lot 1. Testing will cover different abusive conditions and will aim at evaluating thermal and structural stability. In case of catastrophic failure, an analysis needs to be performed on the type of failure, as well as characterization of the emissions, particulates and possibly post-mortem on the battery itself.
