Description

M5 is a new metro line that will connect the new city development areas to the east of Copenhagen, including Lynetteholm, Refshaleøen and Kløverparken, with the existing city and transport network. M5 will include a new Control and Maintenance Centre (CMC). The M5 alignment shall be underground from CMC via Lergravsparken to the end shaft at Vester Søgade, and from Lergravsparken to v/Prags Boulevards Øst. The alignment shall transition from underground to elevated via ramp just north of v/Prags Boulevards Øst and be elevated from the ramp to v/Refshaleøen. Metroselskabet expects to build the stretch from Copenhagen Central Station to Prags Boulevard to open in 2035. The part from v/Ref to Kk is planned to open in 2045 and is not part of the upcoming tender for a contractor. However, the Transportation systems will be designed so that they can cover – or be expanded to cover – from København H to Østerport and possible also the full ring and other scenarios that are safeguarded for. Additionally, the branch to the CMC is underground with a Bifurcation located near Jenagade or in connection to the station Lergravsparken, the alignment has a ramp to surface on Prøvestenen. The…
