Irish Wheelchair Association IWA is an independent charity and one of the largest not-for-profit organisations in Ireland. Since our foundation in 1960, we have evolved into a vibrant organisation with over 20,000 members, 2,040 employees and approximately 2,000 registered volunteers. Owned and directed by our members, we are a leading provider of quality person-centred services to people with physical or sensory disabilities and to those with reduced mobility.
