Galway City adopted its Local Authority Climate Action Plan (LACAP) in February 2024, targeting a 51 per cent reduction in emissions by 2030. To reach net-zero emissions, Galway City Council focuses on enhancing building energy efficiency, green procurement, carbon rating for businesses, and nature-based solutions.
