Description

Nordhavn is currently Copenhagen’s fastest growing locality. The Nordhavn area is planned to grow to approximately 35.000 residents and 28.000 working places by 2050. Well-functioning public transportation is a crucial part of the growth of Nordhavn, and the M4 Cityringen metroline is therfore planned to be extended from the existing Orientkaj Station to outer Nordhavn with 2 new stations. The customers of the Copenhagen Metro expect a high level of service with functional and attractive infrastructure. The extension will be an integrated part of the existing M4 line called Cityringen Nordhavn Extension (CRNHE). The Nordhavn Extension shall be a fully elevated line of approximately 1,6 km with two stations; until further called v./Levantkaj and v./Nordhavn C. Metroselskabet have high ambitions for the extension to Nordhavn and to accommodate the need for lowered CO2-emissions see a need to rethink design processes and constructions.
