Description
Diagnostikcentrum i Östergötland (DC) består av laboratorieverksamheten vid länets tre (3) sjukhus och flertalet av länets vårdcentraler, medicinsk strålningsfysik (MSF) samt röntgenklinikerna vid länets tre (3) sjukhus i Motala, Norrköping och Linköping. Klinisk Patologi är en regionövergripande, ackrediterad enhet (SS-EN ISO 15189:2022) inom Diagnostikcentrum i Östergötland. Förutom den morfologiska diagnostiken ansvarar enheten även för punktionsmottagning samt obduktion och bårhusverksamhet. Inom Klinisk patologi sker arbetet i subspecialiserade team, och använder såväl etablerade som nyare diagnostiska metoder som till exempel molekylärpatologi. Digital diagnostik är infört för histopatologiskt material och är tillgängligt för primär diagnostik i den dagliga verksamheten såväl internt som för extern användning. Klinisk patologi, Region Östergötland servar hela Östergötland samt tar emot eftergranskningar och konsultationer från sydöstra sjukvårdsregionen. Universitetssjukhuset har även avtal om operationer utanför Regionen. För att klara ökande volymer med bibehållen leveranssäkerhet behöver Klinisk patologi komplettera egna resurser med externt diagnostikstöd.
