Description

This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice acknowledges that Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) proposes to contract with Neurogen Ltd. for the supply and integration of a Deymed Diagnostic Cortical Stimulator. Neurophysiology equipment for the new Children’s Hospital (NCHI) was procured through Tender Reference HSE 18158 in August 2024. This procurement included the TruScan EEG Neurophysiology Management System, supplied by Neurogen Ltd and manufactured by Deymed Diagnostic s.r.o. The TruScan EEG Neurophysiology Management System will be integrated with the hospitals Electronic Health Record (EHR), enabling seamless electronic transfer of ADT and worklist information from the EHR to the TruScan system. At the time of tendering for neurophysiology equipment the requirement for a cortical stimulator was not identified. Currently, paediatric epilepsy patients requiring stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) are referred to another adult hospital under a service level agreement. This arrangement places a burden on patients and families. The procurement of the Deymed Cortical Stimulator will enable CHI to conduct functional cortical mapping as part of SEEG procedure…
