Description

This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice acknowledges that CHI proposes to contract with Qiagen Ltd for the supply, transfer, commissioning, maintenance and continued provision of support for new and existing automated nucleic acid purification analyser equipment also used in downstream applications covering PCR, qPCR and next-generation sequencing (NGS) to enable the service to continue providing paediatric diagnostics nationally. The contract includes the provision of existing and new equipment for molecular processing and testing for the Microbiology Reference Laboratory services, for the setup, processing and resulting of tests. There are no technically, clinically, financially or administratively reasonable or viable alternative or substitute solutions that could be implemented to maintain the integrity of the existing tests other than transferring the existing equipment and ascertaining the same type of new equipment
