BACKGROUND The assignment concerns a Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the MFA-supported International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs (IWGIA) 2024-27 Programme to Promote and Advocate for Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The key objective of the programme is that Indigenous Peoples’ rights to land, territories and resources are promoted, respected and protected and that Indigenous Peoples contribute to climate and biodiversity governance and actions. The MTR is part of the regular monitoring of the partnership between the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and IWGIA and will be led by the Evaluation, Learning and Quality Department (LEARNING) of the Danish MFA. OBJECTIVE The objective of the MTR is to assess the overall performance in the implementation of the IWGIA Multi-Year (2024-27) Programme, including strategic and programmatic achievements as well as risks and challenges faced. Based on the findings, the MTR is expected to formulate recommendations to strengthen and adapt the programme.
