Beskrivelse
Description The purpose of the consultancy is to provide the Royal Danish Embassy in Nairobi with a solid analytical basis for a potential new Danish engagement in the area of decent jobs and innovation in Kenya. The study will identify opportunities where Denmark, in cooperation with other partners, can contribute effectively to promoting inclusive job creation and strengthening innovation ecosystems, with a focus on sectors where decent jobs and innovation can have significant impact, including but not limited to agriculture and green transition. The objectives of the consultancy are to a) Map actors and initiatives/programmes active in the area of decent jobs and innovation in Kenya b) Highlight the different modalities being applied and assess their successes and challenges c) Determine which existing initiatives could be compatible with Danish instruments in Kenya (e.g. SSC, Economic Diplomacy), are amenable to a pro-poor approach, and resonate with the Team Europe framework d) Analyse the potential of alternative engagement modalities, including fund management, delegated cooperation, and basket funds, in light of the Embassy’s limited administrative capacity e) Support the E…
