The aim of the competition is to research and develop a new data format that enables all data relevant to an investigation procedure to be brought together. This should enable data from different sources to validate and complement each other. Examples are location data from different sources such as telecommunications surveillance and forensic smartphone analyses. Research will then be carried out into algorithms that can calculate new information based on the combined data. These research objectives are intended to make investigative procedures and in particular interdisciplinary cooperation, for example between analogue and digital forensics, more efficient. In addition, cases that cannot yet be solved due to insufficient information could be solved in this way. The target technology readiness level at the end of the project is 3 to 4, depending on the technology. The service provision is divided into several phases.
